Ashley Manteca, aka Aach, was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. She grew up with exposure to the performing arts (singing, dancing, acting) as well as drawing, painting and writing. She sang from grammar school through high school. In her senior year, she participated in her biggest pre-professional performance, which was for the Show Choir Nationals in Windsor, Canada.

 

After high school, her music endeavors were on hold while perusing her degree in college, but with new passion, returned to music in 2018. Aach withdrew from school to pursue her professional career as a performer and recording artist.

 

Since then, she has performed at open mics, events/local showcases, meet and performed for Common, booked her first acting gig on the TV Show “Chicago PD” and released her first two singles “Shield Me” and “Waiting For U," with Shield Me being selected for placement in a Spotify playlist named “Chill Mode. She has produced visuals for both records as well. She also collaborated with other artist and DJs on records “Shield Me 2.0” and Feel the Love, expanding her sound and fanbase into the spaces of dance/EDM music.

 

Currently, she is preparing for her 2023 music rollout, which will consist of a few singles, with "About Time" being the first single, and her first EP project.
